The Dashboard had one address. The API served the page only at `/`, both reference proxies forwarded only `/`, and the open module lived in React state, so a refresh went back to the first module, nothing could be bookmarked, and Back left the Dashboard (DESIGN.md §2.7). ADR 0057 makes the address bar the source of truth: - `/` is a host-owned Overview, now the landing page; `/modules/<id>` mounts that module. An id the server's navigation does not list shows "This page isn't available" and loads nothing; any other Dashboard address is a host-owned "Page not found". - `/modules`, `/settings`, and `/account` are reserved whole, from one list (`@ekklesia/shell/dashboard-routes`) that the shell's router and the API's page routes both read. The API serves the same frozen page, ETag, and security headers anywhere inside them; look-alikes and other methods stay the sanitized 404. - A small host-owned history replaces the selected-module state, built in the entry point so it stays the only file touching `window`. Navigation items are real links; modified clicks are left to the browser. Focus moves to the page after an in-place change, and the tab is named after the page. - Sign-in still happens in place with no return value (ADR 0034), so a deep link opens its own page after sign-in. - Both reference Caddyfiles forward the new paths; the deploy smoke now reloads a module's address through the real proxy and requires it to mount again. feat(api): serve the built Dashboard from the API origin
Serve surfaces/shell's built Dashboard from apps/api on the same origin as /api (ADR 0044), exactly as the display host is served: a closed set of files read once at startup, never a static directory, never a path built from request input. - The shell exports @ekklesia/shell/dashboard-assets (the exact built index.html and script URLs), emits the script at assets/ekklesia-dashboard/app.js, and index.html names that absolute path so dev and production serve the same URLs. - GET / and GET /assets/ekklesia-dashboard/app.js answer from a frozen snapshot: no-cache with a strong ETag and 304 on match. Source maps are never served; every other path is the ordinary sanitized 404. - The page sets nosniff, X-Frame-Options: DENY, Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors 'none' (that directive only), and Referrer-Policy: no-referrer, on 200 and 304 alike. - A missing or empty shell build fails startup with a fixed DashboardHostAssetError before any module code is imported. - The If-None-Match comparison moves to conditional-request.ts, shared with the display host routes. - The emailed-link token stripping moves from browser/main.tsx into consumeAuthLanding (location and history injected) so it is tested; behavior is unchanged. feat: verify email addresses and recover forgotten passwords
Ekklesia could authenticate a person and, since Pass 1, send a transactional email — but it had no way to establish that an address belonged to whoever claimed it, and no way back in for someone who forgot their password. A verified address is now a precondition for holding a session. Better Auth enforces that after the password check and before any session exists, so an unverified sign-in returns 403 with no cookie. That is why no "unverified principal" was needed: a correct password on an unverified address carries exactly the authority of no password, and /api/v1/principal is unchanged. Better Auth keeps every token. Ekklesia adds no token table, no hashing, and no expiry clock. It supplies a recipient, a subject, and two bodies, and the mail provider supplies everything about SMTP. Verification and reset links are rebuilt from a validated Dashboard origin, taking only the token — never the URL Better Auth prebuilds from a caller-supplied callbackURL — so no request can steer where a recipient lands. Following a verification link mints no session, because mail infrastructure dereferences links. Reset revokes that person's other sessions and leaves managed devices alone. Recovery answers identically for an address with an account, without one, already verified, or undeliverable — including when SMTP is broken, which is why the delivery adapter never throws. The initial platform owner is the one exception: created already verified by an operator command with no mail prerequisite, so a fresh server can be signed in to before a relay exists. Migration 0007 extends that to owners of installations that already exist. Public signup stays disabled; verification is not a licence to self-register.
