This release makes Ekklesia Signage available as a properly distributable external Ekklesia module package.

    Highlights

    • Publishes the canonical Signage Ekklesia Module Package v1 as downloadable release assets.
    • Publishes the matching SHA-256 checksum.
    • Includes corresponding-source and redistribution materials required by the package policy.
    • Uses the exact package bytes that passed the full external-package integration test.
    • Keeps release publishing separate from normal PR and push CI.
    • Requires an explicit manual release action instead of publishing automatically.

    Validation
The packaged Signage module was tested against generic Ekklesia Core with:

    • package verification
    • migrations and migration idempotency
    • Dashboard UI and API operation
    • display playback
    • kiosk pairing
    • restart and container recreation
    • module disable/re-enable
    • remove/reinstall
    • persistence of Signage data and history
    • TLS and Doctor checks
    • corresponding-source verification

The release workflow also verifies that published assets can be downloaded anonymously and match the tested artifacts byte-for-byte.

This release does not change the Signage product architecture. It completes the distribution path for the external module package introduced in v0.1.3.

    Pre-Release

    Zayin_Admin released this 2026-10-10 17:32:43 +00:00 | 8 commits to main since this release

This release completes Signage's transition to a fully external Ekklesia module package and validates the complete installation/runtime lifecycle against generic Ekklesia.
    Highlights

    • Installs and runs from the real external Signage module package without a workspace checkout or source-tree dependency.
    • Validated migrations and strict migration-history behavior.
    • Validated Dashboard UI, API, display playback, and kiosk pairing.
    • Validated persistence through Ekklesia process restart and API container recreation.
    • Validated disable/re-enable and remove/reinstall behavior without loss of Signage data.
    • Restored external-package integration CI coverage.
      Validation
The final packaged integration test covered:
    • package verification and installation
    • migrations and idempotency
    • module discovery and activation
    • Dashboard and API operation
    • three-slide playback
    • kiosk pairing
    • resilience scenarios
    • process restart
    • container recreation with persistent module storage and PostgreSQL data
Final Signage CI passed all 5 jobs, including the external-package integration job.
Browser validation used real headless Chromium. Physical display hardware testing is not claimed by this release.
